For a while now, I’ve been sharing general fitness advice, but something has shifted. I'm making a huge change, and I'm pulling back the curtain to tell you why. In this post, I’m sharing the personal story of how I got hooked on this incredible sport and laying out a new mission that is 100% dedicated to helping you become the strongest, most resilient player you can be. This is a new beginning, and it’s all about setting you up for success.

My "Aha!" Moment on the Court
To understand where we're going, you need to know where I've been.
For the longest time, I felt like something was missing in my own athletic life. I’ve built my career around fitness, but I missed the spark of competition—that athletic outlet that drives you. Then, my future father-in-law introduced me to pickleball, and everything clicked.
It wasn’t just fun; it was the physically demanding, strategic game I’d been craving. And let me tell you, I got humbled—fast. I quickly realized my traditional workouts weren’t cutting it on the court. That explosive first step to the kitchen line, the rotational power for an overhead smash, the core stability to stay balanced on a tough dink—that required something different.
So, I changed my entire approach to off-court training. I started programming with intention, focusing on the specific demands of pickleball, like lateral agility and rotational power. The moment I started training for pickleball, my entire game transformed. And that’s when it hit me: this sport-specific approach was the missing link, not just for me, but for thousands of other players, too.
The "Performance Gap" Holding You Back
This discovery led me to a huge problem I see every single day with dedicated players like you. There's a "performance gap" that causes players to hit plateaus and deal with nagging injuries.
We all want to improve, so we go to the gym and try to stay active. But most fitness advice out there is generic. It’s not designed for the unique, high-intensity movements of pickleball.
Think about it with intention:
Standard bicep curls don’t give you a more powerful backhand slice.
A slow jog on a treadmill doesn’t prepare you for a lightning-fast firefight at the net.
This mismatch between how we train and how we actually play is the number one reason players get stuck. Worse, it’s why they end up with rotator cuff pain, pickleball elbow, or tweaked knees. You might be strong, but are you pickleball-strong? To improve your game and protect your body, you can't just exercise. You need to train with purpose.
